Shri Sanjiv Shah, who started this movement 25 years ago....it’s a very long time, I still remember the old days... I had attended a workshop for 5 days in Baroda on SaReGaMaPaDhaNi..... facilitated by Sanjiv.

I wish you all the very best for all your activities for making Better India through (Character) Education.... by giving practical experiences to students....

“હું હંમેશાં Love શું છે તે જ સમજી નહોતી શકતી,
કૅમ્પમાં ફર્સ્ટ ટાઈમ Love વિશે શીખી અને જાણ્યું, તે બહુ જ ગમ્યું”

From 17th to 19th June, 2014, Oasis Love Camp was organized at Oasis Valleys for the girls of D.D. Girls Highschool, Navsari. 14 girls attended the camp which was facilitated by Chaitali Mehta, Trustee, OASIS.

શિબિરાર્થીઓના પ્રતિભાવોનો અર્ક:

હું મારા જીવનમાં સાચો પ્રેમ એટલે શું અને તે કેવી રીતે ઓળખવો તે શીખી છું. તેને હું મારી લાઇફમાં ઉતારીશ. હું શીખી કે પ્રેમને કોઈ નામ, સંબંધ, ઉંમર, વર્ષ, દિન કંઈ લાગુ પડતું નથી; પ્રેમ એ આપવાની વસ્તુ કે મેળવવાની વસ્તુ નથી. પ્રેમથી કોઈ પણ મોટા પ્રૉબ્લેમનો ઉકેલ મળી જાય છે. બધાએ લાઇફમાં સાચો પ્રેમ રાખવો જ જોઈએ. - રૂકશાર શેખ

મને આ કૅમ્પમાં સૌથી વધારે એ ગમ્યું કે હું હંમેશાં Love શું છે તે જ સમજી નહોતી શકતી. પણ હું કૅમ્પમાં આવીને ફર્સ્ટ ટાઈમ ચૈતાલી’દી પાસેથી Love વિશે શીખી અને જાણ્યું તે બહુ જ ગમ્યું.

આ કૅમ્પમાંથી હું એ વાત પહેલાં શીખી કે જરૂરી નથી કે પ્રેમ ફક્ત મનુષ્યને જ થાય અથવા એક જ વ્યક્તિને થાય છે, પ્રેમ હંમેશાં બધાં સાથે કરાય છે. અને પ્રેમ એ થઈ જાય છે એ સાંભળ્યું હતું પણ એ પણ જાણવા મળ્યું કે એ વાત ખોટી છે; પ્રેમ કરવાનો હોય છે, આપવાનો હોય છે. પછી ભલે સામેવાળી વ્યક્તિ આપણને બદલામાં આપે કે ના આપે. પ્રેમ નિ:સ્વાર્થી છે. હું હંમેશાં દરેક વ્યક્તિને પ્રેમ કરીશ અને ફક્ત વ્યક્તિ જ નહીં, તેમાં વિશ્વની બધી જ વસ્તુઓનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. - ફાલ્ગુની મિસ્ત્રી

આ કૅમ્પમાંથી મને ઘણું બધું શીખવા મળ્યું. Oasis એ સપનાંનો દરિયો છે, સપનાં તરફ જવાનાં પગથિયાં છે એ શીખવા મળ્યું છે. આપણે દરેક વ્યક્તિ સાથે હળીમળીને રહેવું જોઈએ. કોઈપણ મુશ્કેલીનો સામનો કરવો જોઈએ. મમ્મી-પપ્પાને હું પહેલાં કરતાં વધારે પ્રેમ કરું છું. - રેખા કુમાવત

આ કૅમ્પનાં સંચાલક ચૈતાલીદીદી અમને ખૂબ જ ગમ્યાં. તેમનાં હાવભાવ અને તેમનું અમારા પ્રત્યેનું વર્તન ખૂબ જ સારું હતું. સેશનમાં પણ તેઓ અમને ખૂબ જ સારી રીતે શીખવતાં હતાં અને ખૂબ જ સુંદર રીતે સમજાવતાં પણ હતાં. અમે પણ તેમની પાસેથી સારી રીતે અને શાંતિથી સમજ્યા હતા. તેઓ અમને ખૂબ સુંદર અને નિષ્ઠાવાન લાગ્યાં હતાં. - મેઘના અંબાણી

“અહીંયાં એટલી બધી સરસ પ્રક્રિયા વિવેકથી થઈ કે એકબીજાને હાનિ પહોંચાડ્યા વિના સમજી શક્યા અને એકબીજા પ્રત્યે ઘણો બધો અહોભાવ જાગ્યો”

Second Workshop of Love Series (IInd year of Oasis L3 Course) was organized for professionals, Batch Year 2013, during 10-13 July at Oasis Valleys. This workshop is special on the subject of Marriage. The series is facilitated by Sanjiv Shah & Sheeba Nair, who are the chief facilitators of Oasis L3 Courses.

Crux of reflections from the participants:

૨૨ વર્ષના સફળ, સરળ, સુંદર કહી શકાય તેમજ માની શકાય એવા લગ્નજીવનમાં પણ સાચા લગ્નની આધ્યાત્મિક સમજનો કેટલો અભાવ હતો એ સમજાયું. માની લીધેલાં સત્યોની સામે સાચા સત્યો અંતરમાંથી બહાર આવ્યાં ત્યારે હચમચી ગયો. આ ધરતીકંપે સહજીવનને એક નવી ઊંચાઈએ મૂકવા માટે સમજ અને આવશ્યક બળ પૂરા પાડ્યાં. પથદર્શક બનવા માટે અંતરથી આભાર.

The whole process of identifying the prime fears of our own & our spouse’s and how they lie at the root of many of the core dynamics was eye-opening. It felt like a full-sized mirror was placed in front of us & it reflected our state of being. The process of healing these prime fears of our partner was a life-changing & life-saving aspect of the workshop.

This session, focusing on the subject of marriage, did very difficult job of changing the deep rooted paradigms about marriage. The process was wonderfully sequenced, ruthlessly planned & smartly conspired to firstly land a hard punch on the face about all the useless beliefs about marriage & then did a magical healing of the wound by forcing the antenna in the right direction which would enable a very rich relationship with my wife.

નાજુક પરિસ્થિતિમાં કેવી રીતે મનોબળ ટકાવી રાખવું એ શીખવા મળ્યું. લગ્નસંબંધની ખરેખર સાચી સમજ ખૂબ જ ઊંડાણપૂર્વક સમજવાની અને એને જીવનમાં ઉતારવાની જે કળા છે એ ફક્ત અને ફક્ત અહીંથી જ શીખવા મળે છે, એમ મને સમજાયું. લગ્ન એ બીજા માટે સાથે રહેવું કે સમાજને બતાવવું એ બાબત નથી પણ લગ્ન એકબીજાની શક્તિને ખીલવવા માટે છે એવી દૃષ્ટિ મળી એ ખૂબ જ ગમ્યું.

આ કાર્યશાળાની સૌથી સુંદર બાબત એ થઈ કે પતિ અને પત્ની વચ્ચેના વૈમનસ્ય માટે જવાબદાર બાળપણના દુ:ખદ અનુભવો જે માનસપટ પર અંકિત થઈ ગયા છે તેને કઈ રીતે શોધી કાઢીને શાંતિ સ્થાપવી તે માટેની step by step પદ્ધતિ તમે બતાવી અને માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું. એ મારા જીવનનું એક અમૂલ્ય ‘નજરાણું’ બની રહેશે.

Marriage session of L3 Love Series was amazing experience. It helped me to identify my innermost & deep fears which I always had but could never have the courage to accept. I have figured out the real problem & also the areas where I have to extend myself as a life partner in order to make our marriage a beautiful journey.

આંખોમાં આશાનો આસ્વાદ લઈને; હવે, ઊભો હું હાથોમાં સાહસ લઈને”

The Professionals of Oasis L3 Course Year 2014 had their 2nd workshop of the first year, MHS Series, at Oasis Valleys during 26-28 June. The workshop was facilitated by Sheeba Nair, Trustee, Oasis.

Crux of reflections from the participants:

આ વર્કશોપમાં ઘણું બધું શીખી ગયા, પણ મારા મનને સ્પર્શી ગયું હોય તે એ છે કે ‘મારી જિંદગી મારી જવાબદારી છે’. આજે એવું લાગે છે કે હું જ્યાં અટવાઈ ગઈ હતી, ત્યાંથી બહાર નીકળી શકીશ. સંબંધમાં મારા જે મનાંકન બની ગયાં હતાં તેને તોડી શકી છું.

શીબાબેન, તમે મારી જિંદગી વધારે સુંદર બનાવી, જે મારા બાળકો માટે બહુ જ કામમાં આવશે. તમને thanks કહેવા કરતાં હું કહીશ કે બધાને તમારા જેવા ગુરુ મળે.

It was such a wonderful experience again attending the second workshop. Sheebaben was so involved, energetic and keen to understand each and every participant. Wonderful subjects revealed to us in last 3 days. Those are my favorite and all of them are important as well. They will help me a lot to change me. Though it will take time, I promise to try to implement all the principles as much as possible. Thanks a lot Sheebaben, for being such a wonderful human-being.

I loved the way workshop was conducted. I liked all the concepts that are being discussed and I agree that they all carry scientific bases for when and why they happen. I will again go through all subjects and tools learnt in the workshop at home as they need considerable amount of self-work, which I feel involves introspection to be done, so that clarity is brought over.

આ ત્રણ દિવસમાંની સૌથી મોટી અને સૌથી વધારે અગત્યની બાબત મારા માટે એ જ છે કે કાર્યશાળાએ મને - ‘હું કેવો છું’ - એનો અહેસાસ કરાવ્યો. ત્રણ દિવસમાં થયેલી અલગ અલગ પ્રવૃત્તિઓ દ્વારા મને ખબર પડી છે કે ‘હું ક્યાં છું’ અને મારે એક વ્યક્તિ તરીકે ક્યાં પહોંચવાનું છે.
બેઠો’તો મઝધારે હોડીને લઈને,
સાગરના પ્રવાહને શરણે હું થઈને,
આંખોમાં આશાનો આસ્વાદ લઈને,
હવે, ઊભો હું હાથોમાં સાહસ લઈને.

This workshop was more wonderful experience. તમે શીખવેલી દરેક બાબતો આંખ ખોલનારી રહી. હું વ્યક્તિગત રીતે એવું ચોક્કસ માનતી થઈ છું, કે જો હું કંઈ બદલી શકું તો એ છે મારી જાત. એ માટે મારે સંબંધોમાં ખૂબ બધું આપવું પડે અને ભૂલ થાય તો કોઈ જાતનો અહમ્ આડે લાવ્યા વગર માફી પણ માંગવી પડે તે હું શીખી.
જીવન જીવવાની આટલી સુંદર ચાવી આપવા અને તેનો યોગ્ય ઉપયોગ શીખવવા બદલ ખૂબ ખૂબ આભાર.

~ ખુશાલી ભટ્ટ (નવસારી)

જ્યારે પહેલી વર્કશોપમાં આવ્યો ત્યારે હું એવું જ માનતો કે I am so perfect, હું ખૂબ જ સારો માણસ છું. પરંતુ વર્કશોપમાં આવ્યા બાદ મને એવું લાગે છે કે હજી મારે ઘણું બધું શીખવાનું બાકી છે. મને એવું લાગે છે અને હું એવું માનું છું કે આ શીખ્યા બાદ મારા પરિવારમાં, બિઝનેસમાં અને સમાજમાં હું કોઈ ને કોઈ વ્યક્તિને સમજતો રહીશ અને કાયમ મારાથી બનતી મદદ કરતો રહીશ.
I am sure you will be so proud of me one day.

ASHA (Adolescent Students' Health Alternative), Oasis, Bangalore News:

ASHA Youths Begin Working For Slum Children
Start Fulfilling Their Commitment Given At Oasis Valleys

During a special Oasis Dream India Camp which was organized in April this year for youths from Bangalore, some 47 participants had taken up the challenge to work for society and to take up some social causes close to their hearts.

From the month of May, many of them regularly started visiting and working in nearby slums. 25 youths split up into 2 groups and conducted an awareness program of 2-3 hours in 3 slum areas of Bangalore. They reached out to approximately 60-70 children. On 27th May they had an event in Madiwala Slums. The feedback they gave after going through the experience was heartwarming.

The crux of some reflections, as mentioned below –

"I’m feeling very happy to serve for the children in the slum. I enjoy doing the work. I got personal respect and love from the children. I don’t want to drop this commitment for any reason. I am very much happy to do this service. So, I will continue this commitment forever." ~ Sandhya

"I got courage and self-confidence by doing this work." ~ Lakshmi Narayan (Group leader)

"I felt happy about the response received from children & parents. But I was equally & painfully shocked to know about few 8-10 year old kids taking drugs, which are very easily available in those slums." ~ Vishnu

Youths who took active part in these activities are – Bharathraj, Bhavya, Chetan, Lakshmi Narayan, Lavanya, Lokesh, Mohit, Prajwal, Prakash, Pooja N., Sandhya, Shilpa, Shushma, Vignesh and Vishnu.

New Executive Team takes over ASHA activities for 2014-15 &
7 new volunteers joined ASHA in a Team Building Meeting

On 24th June, ASHA Oasis organized a Team Building Meeting to mark the beginning of the new academic year. 21 volunteers got together for the meeting in which 7 new volunteers joined the ASHA Team. The team heartily welcomed the new mates. All shared their experience of what they learned while teaching and how happy they are while working as ASHA Volunteers.

Newly formed team of 7 members has taken over the complete responsibility of ASHA work, this year. Neetaben Sanghvi has taken the leadership as Associate Project Coordinator. Bhagyalakshmi, Sumathi, Mrudula Sanghvi, Veena Toshnival, Harshida Shah & Kiran Gupta are the other members of the executive team.
