મારો આત્મવિશ્વાસ ખૂબ ઓછો હતો. હું સ્ટેજ પર જાઉં તો મારા હાથપગ ધ્રૂજતા. પણ પછી લીડરશિપના ક્લાસમાં મારો આત્મવિશ્વાસ ખૂબ વધી ગયો. હવે મને જરા પણ ડર નથી લાગતો. મને લીડર બનવાની, જ્યૂરી મેમ્બર બનવાની, આ કૅમ્પનું સંચાલન કરવાનો મોકો મળવાની સૌથી વધારે ખુશી છે. ~ પૂર્વા પટેલ

હું આ ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાંથી એ શીખીને જાઉં છું કે આપણા જીવનમાં સ્વતંત્રતાનું કેટલું મહત્વ છે. આપણે સાથે રહીએ અને આપણા માતાપિતા સાથે ન હોય, તો પણ આપણે તે મુશ્કેલીઓનો સામનો કરી શકીએ. ~ ઝીલ દવે

આ કૅમ્પમાંથી મને બધાની સાથે સાચી મિત્રતા કેવી રીતે થાય તેની ખબર પડી. ~ પવન ચૌથાની

અમે અહીંથી એવું શીખીને જઈએ છીએ કે કોઈ પણ કામ કરવું અઘરું નથી, બધા સાથે મળીને આ અઘરું કામ કરીએ તો તેને સહેલું બનાવી શકીએ છીએ, અને તે ઝડપથી પણ કરી શકીએ છીએ. અહીં અમે એવું પણ શીખ્યા કે ડરનો સામનો ક્યારે પણ કોઈ પણ સ્થળે કરી શકાય છે. મને અહીં મસ્તી કરવાની ખૂબ મજા આવી, અને મેં અહીં ખૂબ માણ્યું. ~ વૃંદા પટેલ

આ ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાંથી મને એવું શીખવા મળ્યું કે દરેક વ્યક્તિની અંદર કંઈક ને કંઈક સારું હોય છે. પણ તે વ્યક્તિ પોતે જોઈ શકતી નથી અને બીજી વ્યક્તિઓ જુએ છે. અહીં મને મારામાં જે આવડત છે, જે ઇચ્છાઓ છે, કાર્યમાં ભાગ લેવાની જે ધગશ છે તે જાણવા મળી. અને મને એ શીખવા મળ્યું કે જ્યારે આપણે અજાણી વ્યક્તિને મળીએ છીએ ત્યારે આપણને બીક હોય છે કે આ વ્યક્તિ કેવી હશે? પરંતુ અહીં એ શીખવા મળ્યું કે આપણે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ સાથે જેવો સ્વભાવ રાખીશું, તેવો જ સ્વભાવ તે વ્યક્તિ પણ આપણી સાથે રાખશે. ~ સલીમા શેખ

જિંદગીનાં સપનાં જાણે સાકાર થતાં લાગ્યાં. એક બાળકને બદલે ઘણા બધાં બાળકો માટે કામ કરવાથી એક અનન્ય અને અદ્ભુત શક્તિનો ધોધ મળ્યો. બધાં બાળકોને એક મા તરીકેનો પ્રેમ આપ્યો એ બાબત અને એમની સાથે વિતાવેલી પળો જિંદગીભરનાં શમણાં બની ગયાં. મારી જવાબદારી વધારે ને વધારે કેવી સારી રીતે નિભાવું એ જ વિચારો સાથે હું બીજું બધું જ અને બહારની દુનિયાને ભૂલીને બાળકોમય બની ગઈ. એક અદ્ભુત અનુભવ! ~ કીર્તિ ધુમ

It was, as the name of the camp suggests, straight out of a dream. A utopia in making, a place governed by ideals of the same bunch of innocent kids who have the momentous task of upholding them. I had come to teach, but I leave having learnt more.

To have freedom to make your rules is one thing, but answering for their violation is all together a different thing. It is a radical experiment in teaching, and what I liked the most was the extent of intervention of facilitators, that is non-existent. That idea is the thing I enjoyed the most. ~ Marm Dixit

Every child has got specific skills and talents. I came to know about them closely. And they set an example for me. Before coming to D.I. Camp for facilitation, I used to get irritated quickly but, today I have got control over my irritation and anger. Children were too lovable and I enjoyed teaching them. So, my first ever experience of teaching was really inspiring as well as enjoying. ~ Shama Patel

It was indeed a wonderful learning experience. I loved the way children readily volunteered to do things. There was a lot to learn from them. They had the realization of all the good things done by others and accepted their flaws and differences in good spirits. Everyone, from kids to faculty members to helpers working in the kitchen, was in high spirit and went out of their way to be helpful.
Parliament will be the most memorable part of their lives as it gave them an opportunity to shoulder responsibilities along with holding the trust put in them by each participant. ~ Jalpa Patel

Crux of children's reflections about Parliament Session:

I liked the Parliament very much, because in this children can learn how they can create their ‘Dream India’ and how they can take decisions. How they can also be a leader. ~ Nandan Vaghela

બાળકોની અદાલત સમયની પરવા કર્યા વગર સાચો ન્યાય આપતી હતી. બધાને સજેશન માટે મોકો આપતી હતી. અને કોઈને કાંઈ અન્યાય થાય તો સજેશન બૉક્સમાં કેસ નાખીએ તો અદાલતમાં સોલ્વ થઈ જાય. ~ ધ્રુવેશ રાઠોડ

આ અદાલતમાં એવું હતું કે કોઈ ભેદભાવ રાખ્યા વગર બધાને સરખો ન્યાય મળતો હતો. અને અહીંની બેસવાની વ્યવસ્થા પણ ખૂબ સારી રીતે કરી હતી. અદાલતનો સમય પૂરો થઈ જાય તો પણ બધા મળીને સાથે સમય કાઢીને અદાલત ચલાવવાનું કહેતા હતા, તે બાબત ખૂબ સારી હતી. ~ સમીમા શેખ

અહીં બધાને સાચો ન્યાય મળે છે. બધાને સમાન ગણવામાં આવે છે. અહીં ભૂલ કરનારને જેલ કે ફાંસી જેવી સજા થતી નથી, પણ એવી સજા મળે છે કે જેમાંથી તે શીખી શકે છે કે આવી ભૂલ કરવાનું પરિણામ સારું નથી હોતું. અહીં સજામાંથી કંઈક શીખવા મળે છે, જેથી તે ભવિષ્યમાં કોઈ આવી ભૂલ ન કરે કે ન કોઈને કરવા દે. તેથી મને આ અદાલત ગમે છે. ~ પૂર્વા પટેલ

મને ઓએસિસ ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાં બાળકોની અદાલતની વ્યવસ્થા ખૂબ ગમી, કારણ કે એમાંથી એવું જાણવા મળે છે જેનાથી આખા દિવસમાં કંઈ ભૂલ થઈ હોય તો, તેનો ખુલાસો થાય છે. અને પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરવાનો મોકો મળે છે. ~ પવન ચૌથાની

કોઈને પણ કોઈનાથી તકલીફ હોય તો તે પાર્લામેન્ટમાં સોલ્વ કરી શકાય છે. અને કોઈ પણ ટૉપિક હોય તો તે જ્યૂરી મેમ્બર્સ એકદમ શાંતિથી, ધીરજથી, ખુશીથી અને કંટાળ્યા વિના ન્યાય કરે છે. ~ માનસી રામી

ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પનું હાર્દ અદાલત છે. અને બાળકોની અદાલત એટલે ન્યાયની સમજણ, પરિસ્થિતિઓ સામે જીવનમાં કેમ લડતા શીખવું અને ખૂબ જ હિંમતવાન બની દરેક સ્થિતિનો સામનો કરવો; સત્યનિષ્ઠા અને એકસૂત્રતા જાળવી જીવનના નિયમો કેવી રીતે સરળ બને છે અને સાથે સુંદર જીવન સર્જન થાય છે. પાર્લામેન્ટ જીવનમાં જીવંત દૃશ્ય તરીકેનું કામ કરે છે, જેમાંથી બાળકો અઢળક બાબતો શીખી અને સમજીને જાય છે. ~ તસ્નીમ ભારમલ

બાળકોની અદાલત એક પ્રેરણાદાયી પ્રક્રિયા છે. ઘણીવાર બાળકો મૂંઝવણમાં આવી જાય. તેમ છતાં તેઓ હિંમત હાર્યા વિના પરિણામ લઈ આવે. એ બધાં બાળકો બધાને જ પ્રોત્સાહન પૂરું પાડતાં હતાં. ~ દીપન ભટ્ટ

બાળકો પણ તેમના પ્રૉબ્લેમનો ઉકેલ લાવી શકે છે. તેમની પાસે પણ સંપ અને પ્રેમથી ઉકેલ લાવી શકવાની સમજ છે અને તેઓ કોઈને અન્યાય થાય તેવું નથી કરતાં. ~ ફાલ્ગુની પટેલ

I was fortunate to be a part of the ‘Parliament’ and haven’t experienced something like it ever before. Each and every child whether from the smallest to tallest, all of them came up and talked to us willingly which I haven’t seen anywhere. The parliament was breathtaking. The way they took up every case with such importance & understanding! The gravity of the things was superb. Their decision making power was good. ~ Maaz Dixit

Crux of children's reflections about their favorite session:

મારું સૌથી પ્રિય સેશન ‘પસંદગીનું મહત્ત્વ’ હતું, કારણ કે મોટે ભાગે એવું થાય છે કે એક વ્યક્તિ બીજાના દબાવમાં આવીને પોતાના નિર્ણયો લેતી હોય છે. પરંતુ અમને એવું શીખવા મળ્યું કે આપણે પોતાની જિંદગીના માલિક છીએ. આપણે જે નિર્ણય લઈએ એ પણ આપણા માટે જીવનમાં કંઈક હિસાબે સારા હોઈ શકે છે. વ્યક્તિએ ક્યારેય કોઈના દબાવમાં આવીને નહીં, પરંતુ પોતાની ઇચ્છા મુજબ નિર્ણયો લેવા અને જે નિર્ણય લઈએ છીએ તે પૂરા કરવા માટે હંમેશાં પહેલ કરવી. ~ સલીમા શેખ

My most favorite session was story writing because that was my dream to write stories. And I have started the process to complete my dream here because the sir who has taught us very kindly. The way he teaches, we understand and learn very fast. ~ Krishna Dave

Vedic Maths was an excellent session. We learnt to do calculations very fast without calculator. I enjoyed it very much. ~ Jyot Prajapati

‘Power of Choice’ gave me a feeling of pride. I realized that I have a lot of power. I just loved it. ~  Vaishvi Kapadia

My most favorite session was Drama. When we heard the script of the drama, which we were going to perform, each one of us had tears in our eyes. Our teachers were very good and taught us patiently. ~  Tej Patel

‘Pursue Your Dream’ was my most favorite session. The teacher, Dhrudipbhai, was excellent and he explained to us about our goals very nicely. ~ Rishita Sharma

Power of choice was my favorite session. It was the first time that I was so proud to be a human. I learnt that I have so much power of my choice! I could also completely understand the phrase, “Small is great”. ~ Shloka Shah
