Dream India Camp Brings out
Leadership from Children

The Dream India Camp organized from 11th May to 19th May at Oasis Valleys was a grand experience of Freedom for children. 55 children participated in the camp in which majority were from Navsari dist. The camp was facilitated by Purvi Naik & Dr. Atul Unagar under the guidance of Dr. Pallavi Raulji, Trustee, OASIS.  Avani Naik & Hasmita Parmar assisted as co-facilitators. Falguni Desai & Arpita Desai played the role of faculties as well as Volunteers. Falguni Mistry, Farooq Pathan, Fatema Rangrej, Haresh Prajapati, Kabir Giri & Prashant Macwan helped in management as young volunteers.

Real freedom is enjoyed and experienced by children through Children's Parliament. Sense of Justice, Truthfulness, Understanding others' views, Increased Self-confidence, Being courageous... are some of the key outcomes.

The crux of feedback from children about parliament -

બાળકોની અદાલત ખૂબ જ સારી હતી. સાચા માણસને ન્યાય મળ્યો. અદાલતના મેમ્બરોએ સરસ રીતે વાત કરી હતી. અદાલતમાં ઊભા થવાની મજા આવી. કારણ કે એવું કોઈ જ કામ નહોતું કે જે બાળકો નહોતાં કરી શકતાં. અમને પણ ન્યાય કરતા આવડ્યું... અમે સમજી શક્યા કે નેતાઓ આખા દેશને કેવી રીતે હેન્ડલ કરે છે. અમે પણ અમારો ઓએસિસ દેશ ચલાવ્યો... ખૂબ આત્મવિશ્વાસ વધ્યો અને એક નવો જ અનુભવ થયો હતો...

મોટાભાગના શિક્ષકોએ પણ કહ્યું કે -

આ પાર્લામેન્ટ ચલાવવી ખૂબ મોટી બાબત છે છતાં નાના નાના બાળકો જે રીતે ચલાવી રહ્યાં હતાં તે હૃદયસ્પર્શી છે... હિંમતના ગુણને વિકસાવવાની ખૂબ જ અગત્યની પ્રકિયાને ખરેખર બિરદાવતા આનંદની લાગણી અનુભવીએ છીએ...

More than 15 subjects were offered as regular sessions in the camp. Regular subjects and faculties respectively were - Leadership Development, Purvi Naik & Dr. Atul Unagar; Life is Positive & Making Lamps, Avni Desai; Embroidery Painting & Kathputli (Puppet) Dance, Arpita Desai; Folk Dance & Bollywood Dance, Hasmita Parmar and Learning from Stories & Drama, Falguni Desai. On the guest day subjects & faculties respectively were - Daily Waste & Environment, Dhaval Patel; Best out of Waste, Smita Phadke; Innovative Cooking & Fun with Advertisement, Deep Panchal; Life is Game, Play it, Ashwin Mistri and Learning Plantation in Pots, Binit Shah.

First workshop of MHS (Mahan Hrudayona SaReGaMaPaDhaNi) series was organized at Auro University, Surat, for the second batch of Dist. level Organizers from 8th to 10th May. 22 people associated with various educational institutes attended the workshop which was facilitated by Jyotirdhar Movement Founder, Mahadevbhai Desai.

Organizers Batch 1, underwent the second workshop of MHS series at Auro University, Surat from 15th to 17th February. The series is being facilitated by Mahadevbhai Desai.

Crux of feedback from participants:

અદ્ભુત. ઓએસિસ કાર્યશાળા શૃંખલાની આ બીજી કાર્યશાળાનો અનુભવ ખૂબ જ હૃદયસ્પર્શી રહ્યો. ત્રણ દિવસ સુધી મારી જાતને સમજવાની અને મથામણ કરવાની તક મળી. જ્યોતિર્ધર અભિયાનનું મહત્ત્વ સમજાયું. ~ શકુંતલા યાદવ

પોતાની જાતને ઓળખવાની પ્રક્રિયામાંથી સફળતાપૂર્વક પસાર થયા. દર્પણનું બીજું સ્વરૂપ એટલે આ કાર્યશાળા. જીવન જીવવાની દિશા મળી. જીવનની કિંમત સમજાઈ. ~ શૈલેશ ઉપાધ્યાય

Teachers from Kutch dist. began their journey with Jyotirdhar Abhiyaan with their first workshop from 3rd to 5th May. 38 teachers from four schools - Matrushri R. D. Varsani Kumar Vidyalay, Bhuj, Shri Kutchhi Leva Patel Kanya Vidyamandir, Bhuj, Shri Nutan Sarasvati Vidyalay, Naranpor & Shri Muktjivan Swamibapa Mahila College, Bhuj - participated in the workshop which was organized at Shri Kutchhi Leva Patel Samaj, Bhuj, Kutch. Pratiksinh Parmar, Trustee & Director of Navnirmal High School, Maroli Bazar, dist. Navsari, facilitated the workshop.

Crux of feedback from participants:

આ કાર્યશાળામાં સમગ્ર ગુજરાત રાજ્ય જોડાશે ત્યારે ખરેખર નવું પરિવર્તન આવશે. તમામ શાળાના બધા શિક્ષકોએ આ કાર્યશાળાનો લાભ લેવો જરૂરી છે. તેના માટે સંસ્થાઓએ પ્રયત્ન કરવો પડશે. ~ ભરત જોષી

બાળકને ઓળખવા માટે, બાળકની લાગણી સમજવા માટે એક શિક્ષકે સ્વને ઓળખવો ખૂબ જરૂરી છે. એ બાબતની પ્રતીતિ કરાવનાર કાર્યશાળા રહી. ~ લોપા મહેતા

શ્રેષ્ઠ કાર્યશાળા. મેં હકારાત્મક લાગણી અનુભવી. માનવ શ્રેષ્ઠ-માનવ કઈ રીતે બને તેની સમજણ આપી, જે ખૂબ જ યોગ્ય છે. ~ મધુ રૂપારેલ

આ કાર્યશાળા મારા માટે એક પ્રેરણાસ્ત્રોત બની એવું હું અનુભવું છું. ત્રણ દિવસના આ કાર્યક્રમમાં હું મારા જીવનમાં ઘણા બધા ફેરફારો કરી શકી છું. અને સ્વની ઓળખ કઈ રીતે કરવી તે મારા હૃદયને સ્પર્શી ગયું છે. ~ રમિલા હાલાઈ

આ કાર્યશાળા મારા જીવન વિકાસમાં ખૂબ જ ઉપયોગી થશે. શિક્ષણની સમસ્યાઓ અને તેનું શું નિરાકરણ લાવી શકું, જીવન પ્રત્યેનો દૃષ્ટિકોણ વગેરે આ કાર્યશાળા દ્વારા હું શીખી. આ કાર્યશાળા અન્ય કાર્યશાળા કરતાં સાવ જુદી અને ખૂબ પ્રેક્ટીકલ છે એમાં કોઈ શંકા નથી. ~ ગાયત્રી શાહ

સંચાલક ખૂબ જ પ્રભાવશાળી, સ્પષ્ટવક્તા, સમયપાલક, સારા મિત્ર. પોતાની તથા અમારી વાતને વધુ સારી રીતે સમજી અને અમને ખૂબ સારી રીતે સમજાવી. કાર્યક્રમનું સુંદર સંચાલન કરવા બદલ અભિનંદન. ~ હર્ષા ઠક્કર

કાર્યશાળાના સંચાલકે ખૂબ જ સારી રીતે, સરળ ભાષામાં, વિવિધ ઉદાહરણો આપીને સમજૂતી આપી. અંગત પ્રશ્નોમાં પણ ખૂબ જ સારી રીતે સમજ આપી. સમસ્યાઓને સાંભળી તથા તેના નિવારણ માટેના માર્ગો પણ સૂચવ્યા. ~ ચિરંજીતા ઝાલા
