Gurukul Pirana, Ahmedabad Children Create Dream India
Oasis Dream India Camp was organized for children from Gurukul, Pirana, Ahmedabad from 16 to 23 October, 2016. The camp was facilitated by Mehul Panchal and co-facilitated by Vatsala Shah. The overall management was done by Reema Maisuriya. 58 children participated in this camp which was held at Oasis Valleys.

"અદાલતમાં બધાને એકસરખો ન્યાય મળતો હતો. કોઈ પણ ભેદભાવ રાખવામાં આવતો નથી." - વિશાલ વિશ્વકર્મા

"બધાને ન્યાય મળતો હતો. કોઈ ખોટું કામ કરતું, તો તેને અટકાવી શકાતું હતું. અમે આ કૅમ્પમાં દેશ કેવી રીતે ચલાવવો તે શીખ્યા. અમારો આત્મવિશ્વાસ ખૂબ વધ્યો.” - મોહિની પરમાર

"અદાલતમાં ઘણા બધા કેસ આવતા અને તેને લડવાની અને સાચી રીતે નિરાકરણ લાવવાની ખૂબ જ મજા આવતી હતી. જ્યૂરી મિત્રો સત્યનો સાથ આપતા હતા. અહીંથી પાછા ગયા પછી મને સૌથી વધુ અદાલત યાદ આવશે. તેમાં જ્યૂરી મિત્રો પોતાના ખાસ મિત્રોની વિરુદ્ધમાં પણ કેસ લડતા હતા અને બધાને સાચો ન્યાય આપતા હતા." - કૃણાલસિંહ દાયમા
 
"અદાલતમાં ફરિયાદી અને ગુનેગાર વચ્ચે સાચો ન્યાય થતો. સજા પણ કશું શીખવા મળે તેવી આપવામાં આવતી." - હરપાલસિંહ દાયમા

"બધા ઝઘડો કરતા પણ ન્યાય સાચો કરતા. હળીમળીને નિર્ણય લેતા.” - ખુશી ગોહિલ

Glimpses and Reflections: Learning Sessions

“આ કૅમ્પમાં આવીને અમને એવા એવા વિષયો શીખવા મળ્યા જે અમને ક્યારેય શાળામાં શીખવા મળ્યા નથી. જેમ કે 'નેતૃત્વ એટલે શું?'. મારો સૌથી પ્રિય સેશન નેતૃત્વ વિકાસનો હતો. તેમાં અમને હિંમત મળી, આત્મવિશ્વાસ મળ્યો. બધાની સામે સાચો મુદ્દો ઉઠાવવાની શીખ મળી. ૧૦૦૦ લોકોની વચ્ચે પણ કેવી રીતે બોલી શકાય તે જાણવા મળ્યું." - રાજ છાભૈયા

“મારો સૌથી પ્રિય સેશન ‘Pursuing your dreams’-નો હતો. કારણ કે તેમાં અમે શીખ્યા કે સપનાં કેવી રીતે જોવાં જોઈએ. મહાન લોકો કેવી રીતે સપનાં જુએ છે. સાથે સાથે અમને નવી નવી જાણકારી પણ મળી. હિંમત મળી. હવે અમે અમારાં સપનાં જરૂરથી સાકાર કરીશું. અમે શીખ્યા કે ખેતી કેવી રીતે કરી શકાય. લસણની વાવણી કરતા શીખ્યા.” - હર્ષ ભગત

"આત્મવિશ્વાસના સેશનમાં શીખ્યા કે પબ્લિકમાં કેવી રીતે બોલવાનું અને કેટલો આત્મવિશ્વાસ જરૂરી છે.” - મોહિની પરમાર

“અમને અમારા સ્વપ્નને પૂરું કરવા માટે અને તેને સાકાર કરવા માટે અહીંથી શીખ મળી. જે લોકો સપનાં નથી જોતા તે મરેલી વ્યક્તિ જેવા હોય છે. જેમના જીવનમાં કોઈક સપનાં હોય છે તે લોકો હંમેશાં જીવે છે અને સપનાં સાકાર કરે છે.” - આયુષ પટેલ

“આ ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાં અમે અમારી અંદરનો આત્મવિશ્વાસ વધાર્યો. નેતૃત્વના ગુણો જાણવા અને શીખવા મળ્યા." - યુવરાજસિંહ વાઘેલા

“જિંદગીમાં આગળ કેવી રીતે વધાય તે જાણવા અને શીખવા મળ્યું. સવારે વહેલાં ઊઠીને અમને જે અલગ અલગ કસરત કરાવતા હતા તે કરીને હું ખૂબ જ ખુશ છું. મને આ મસ્તી કી પાઠશાલામાં ખૂબ જ મજા આવી. નવી નવી રમતો રમ્યા, નવા મિત્રો બન્યા, નવું નવું સર્જન કર્યું અને ખૂબ બધી યાદ ભેગી કરી.”

"અહીંથી પાછા ગયા પછી હું સૌથી વધારે ડુંગર જોગિંગના સેશનને યાદ કરીશ. એક ડુંગરથી બીજા ડુંગર પર ચઢવાના રસ્તામાં ઘણી મુશ્કેલીઓ આવતી. અમે તેને પસાર કરી લેતા, તે અમને ખૂબ જ ગમ્યું.”

"મને તો પહેલાં અહીંયાંની સ્વચ્છતાથી ખૂબ પ્રેરણા મળી. અહીંનાં બધાં ભાઈ-દીદી ખૂબ જ સારાં હતાં, અમને ખૂબ જ પ્રેમ કરતાં હતાં." - જૅનિસ ક્રિશ્ચિયન

“અહીંથી ગયા પછી હું અહીંના વાતાવરણને ખૂબ જ યાદ કરીશ. ખૂબ પ્રેમ, આનંદ અને વિશ્વાસભર્યું વાતાવરણ હતું. આવું વાતાવરણ મને આજ સુધી મારા જીવનમાં ક્યારેય નથી મળ્યું. કદાચ મળશે પણ નહીં. અહીંના સંચાલકો પણ ખૂબ જ સરસ હતા. તેમણે અમને ખૂબ બધો પ્રેમ આપ્યો.” - પ્રીત સેંઘાણી
 
    

“મને આ કૅમ્પમાંથી જવાનું ખૂબ જ દુઃખ થાય છે. અહીં જ રહેવાનું મન થાય છે. આટલી સુંદર જગ્યા અને અહીં મને પ્રેમ આપવાવાળા ઘણા લોકો હતા. અહીં મને ખૂબ જ પ્રેમ મળ્યો. હું આ જગ્યાને અને બધાને ખૂબ જ યાદ કરીશ. મને ફરીથી બોલાવવા માટે વિનંતી.” - હર્ષ ભગત

"અહીં અમને ઘણી આઝાદી હતી. જે કરવું હોય તે કરી શકતા હતા. તેથી અમને અહીં ઘણું બધું શીખવા મળ્યું. અહીંના બધા લોકો પણ ખૂબ જ સારા હતા. બધાને સાચવે, બધાને ખૂબ વહાલ કરે. મુશ્કેલીનું નિવારણ લાવવા મદદરૂપ થાય.” - મોહિની પરમાર

Reflections from Guest Faculty:
As we get older we sometimes loose touch with the simple joys of life and it's infectious energy. Spending some time with these kids gave me an opportunity to not only witness but to also engage with this high voltage energy. I am not sure how much value I could share with them, but I most certainly enjoyed being with them. The enthusiasm and the boundless zest for life rubbed off on me. I did feel a little saddened by the unhappy atmosphere at their school and hostel. I wonder why adults tend to be so harsh with children and end up behaving in a way they would not have liked as children themselves.
