From 21st February to 1st March, First Dream India Camp of Calendar Year 2016 was organized at Oasis Valleys. 76 children from various schools under Jilla Prathamik Sikshan Samiti, Ahmedabad, many of which associated with Oasis ASHA Project, participated in the camp.
The Camp was facilitated by Mehul Panchal, Trustee, OASIS. He was assisted by Hasmita Parmar, young member of Oasis Team, as Camp Manager.  
Young college students, Mustkim Farooqi, Rinku Macwan & Stephen Christian from Vadodara, volunteered in the camp. Participants of Oasis L3 Course for Teenagers, Anil Mena, Chetan Dharajiya, Satish Padhar and Uday Panchal also volunteered in the camp. 

“આ ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાંથી અમે હળીમળીને રહેતા શીખ્યા. ગ્રૂપની જેમ કામ કરવાનું અમને ખૂબ ગમ્યું. છોકરા-છોકરી વચ્ચે કોઈ ભેદભાવ નહીં રાખવો અને ક્યારેય ગાળો નહીં બોલવી જોઈએ. એ બધું જ અમે ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાંથી શીખ્યા, જેનાથી અમે ખૂબ ખુશ છીએ.” - દિપસિંહ ચૌહાણ, સહભાગી

“ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પની વિશેષતા એ હતી કે, અહીંયાં બાળકોને માનસિક રીતે ખીલવાનો મોકો આપવામાં આવતો હતો અને બાળકોને આત્મવિશ્વાસથી આગળ વધવા માટે પ્રોત્સાહન પૂરું પાડવામાં આવતું હતું. અને કોઈ પણ જાતના ભેદભાવ રાખ્યા વિના બધાં જ બાળકોને એક સરખો પ્રેમ આપવામાં આવતો હતો.” - વિશાલ ભટ્ટ, નાટક-મૂક અભિનય(માઇમ)ના શિક્ષક 

“અદાલતમાં દરેક બાબત પર સારા મુદ્દા રજૂ કરવામાં આવતા. એકબીજાની સામે સારી રીતે સાચી દલીલો થતી અને આ દલીલોને જ્યૂરી સભ્યો સારી રીતે સમજીને શાંતિથી ન્યાય કરતા. ઊંચ-નીચનો કે પોતાનો મિત્ર છે તેવો ભેદ રાખતા ન હતા. અદાલતના જ્યૂરી સભ્યોએ નિયમો પણ સારી રીતે સમજીને બનાવ્યા હતા.” - અંજલિ ભટ્ટ, સહભાગી 

“પોતાના જીવન માટે નક્કી કરેલા આદર્શોને દૃઢ રીતે, મક્કમતાથી વળગી રહેવા માટે બાળકોની અદાલત ખૂબ જ ઉપયોગી સાબિત થાય છે.”  - રણજીત મકવાણા, યોગ, સંગીત, ચિત્રકલાના શિક્ષક

“સમગ્ર કૅમ્પમાંથી મારો પ્રિય સેશન ડ્રામા અને માઇમ હતો, કારણ કે મને નાટક કરવામાં ખૂબ રસ છે. માઇમમાં મને બોલ્યા વગર ઍક્ટિંગ કરવાનું ખૂબ ગમ્યું. પહેલાં મને ‘માઇમ એટલે શું’ એ પણ ખબર નહોતી. આ કૅમ્પમાં આવીને ખબર પડી કે માઇમ એટલે બોલ્યા વગર ઍક્ટિંગ કરવી. હું મોટો થઈને બાળકોને નાટક અને માઇમ શીખવીશ.” - પ્રવિણ ડામોર, સહભાગી
“આ ડ્રીમ ઇન્ડિયા કૅમ્પમાંથી સાચો લીડર કેવી રીતે બનવું એ શીખ્યો. લીડરશિપમાં પ્રામાણિકતા, આત્મવિશ્વાસ, હિંમત, ધ્યાનથી સાંભળવું, પહેલ કરવી જેવાં અનેક ગુણો વિશે જાણવા અને શીખવા મળ્યું.” - નિશિત ચૌહાણ, સહભાગી

On special invitation, 7 guest faculties came to Dream India Camp to share their knowledge with children. Their names & subjects were - 
Heli Shukla (Student, MSW, MSU, Vadodara) - Paper Craft; Jigna Thakkar (Student, MSW, MSU, Vadodara) - Candle Making; Piyush Dave (Artist & Professional, Vadodara) - Music; Rajesh Parmar (Ex. Armyman, Vadodara) - Life of Soldier & Indian Defence; Sarvoday Patidar (Principal, Pri. School, Pisai, Dist. Vadodara) - Learning through Games; Shraddha Vyas (Professional, Ahmedabad) - How to Think? and Viral Panchal (Oasis Vadodara) - Creative art from waste bottles & Creative Sweets.

As part of learning Self-governance, children gave their hour in the afternoon to keep their small country neat and clean. Not only they did it nicely, they did it without supervision!
