A local Dream India Camp (14th to 22 November) was organized at Ninat School, Bardoli which turned out to be a successful camp. 63 participants with 5 faculties, 2 facilitators and 3 volunteers kept the camp alive for 8 days. The first challenge was the building & the camp site. The building was beautiful but deserted for a year. So, it needed much labour and love; and the team took up the challenge. The team decided to beautify the building and leave it more beautiful when they depart. With loving efforts of everyone the site was made such a neat and clean place that kids made a rule that no one will wear chappals and shoes in the campus as we don’t wear chappals in our homes.
It was heart soothing experience to witness a diverse group of children being transformed towards the responsible members of a community. Every participant was beaming with happiness and joy. The building was throbbing with love and trust. At the time of departure, tears roll down their cheeks. They said, “Good bye DIC, we will miss you” and the building stood alone looking more ‘beautiful and happy’ telling them “Good bye! I will miss you too.”
