Oasis Movement Core Community Annual Retreat 2019
4th Grand Annual Retreat of Oasis Movement was organized at Oasis Valleys from 11th to 13th January, 2019. Oasis Movement Core Community Members, close friends, well-wishers, youth & teenagers - 125+ people attended the retreat. 
The retreat celebrated the journey through 2018, the mesmerizing year for

Day 1 ~ Overviewing the Journey of
             Oasis Movement through 2018

No Strangers here, only Friends that haven’t met yet
The retreat began with a simple game that symbolizes what Oasis stands for: the world with no strangers. With each member introduced to all in the expanding group – 2 to 4 to 8 and so on - in the end, all were introduced to all and we could clearly observe the difference in those smiles; they had just gotten a bit wider!
The logo was launched in the Oasis way with the youngest and newest as well as the founding members joining hands. The wide smiles on the faces of the founding members of Oasis depicted the incredible story they’ve written and, in their eyes, one could see the hope and aspiration for the story about to unfold.

2018 was truly a remarkable year for Oasis and it would be fair to say that the regional teams were at the heart of it. There were big teams with years of experience, there were teams beaming with the spirit and vigour of the youth and there were lone-warriors with almost zero experience, but one thing was common amongst them all and that was the inspirational stories they had.

અવનવી, પ્રેરણાદાયી ટચૂકડી
વાર્તાઓનો સંગ્રહ...
 
બાળપણમાં દાદા-દાદીના મુખેથી અવનવી વાર્તાઓ સાંભળવાનું આપણા સૌને ખૂબ ગમતું. આ રીતે વાર્તાઓ આપણા જીવનનો એક અમૂલ્ય ભાગ બની ગઈ છે. વાર્તાઓ વાંચવી, સાંભળવી ને કહેવી સૌને ગમે છે. આ વાર્તા સંગ્રહના માધ્યમથી જીવનને પ્રેરણા આપતી ટૂંકી વાર્તાઓ રજૂ થઈ રહી છે. જીવવાના સિદ્ધાંતો શીખવતી આ વાર્તાઓમાંની એકાદ પણ વ્યક્તિના હૃદયને સ્પર્શી જાય તો તે મનુષ્યના જીવનમાં આમૂલ પરિવર્તન લાવી શકે છે. 

તેથી જ આ કેવળ પુસ્તિકાની ભેટ નથી.
આ જીવનની ભેટ છે.

Group of 15 representatives from J&K state attended the retreat. These included 15-year-old teens from the interiors of Leh-Ladakh and Kashmir who braved struggles to reach here as also senior principal-leaders aged 50+ years. They all won our hearts with their bright smiles, warm hearts and inspiring stories. They might not have much exposure of various programs of Oasis, but when you see the kind of life they're trying to live and the values they're trying to practice when you listen to their transformational stories; you could see what oasis Friendship Camps and Hu Chhu Jyotirdhar workshops mean to them. Who knows, they could be about to write a beautiful chapter in the most beautiful land on earth!

This year Oasis proudly presents its 100th Publication in the form of 'Adhyatma ki Khoj Mein'. This book is also a symbol of our 1st partnership with a prestigious national publishing house, Prabhat Prakashan, New Delhi which is headed by Piyush Kumar.
"अनुवादक के लिए जरुरी हो जाता है की जैसी किताब हो उस स्तर तक पहुँचे साथ मे रचनाकार के व्यक्तित्व और कृतित्व को ध्यान मे रखते हुऐ भाषा का इस्तमाल करे। मैंने भी ऐसी ही कोशिश की हैं और अध्यात्म का विषय था तो उसकी भाषा ऐसी हो जो धीर-गंभीर तो लगे साथ मे लोगो को समझने मे तकलीफ न हो।"

“ઓએસિસ સાથે જોડાયા પછી પોતાની જાતને પ્રેમ કરતા શીખ્યો છું. હવે હું પરિવારનો મતલબ સમજ્યો છું, તેમને પ્રેમ કરતા, તેમની ચિંતા કરતા શીખ્યો છું. માટે જ નક્કી કર્યું કે હું માવા-ગુટખા નહીં ખાઉં. મને અત્યારે ખૂબ જ સારું લાગી રહ્યું છે કે હું તેમાંથી બહાર આવી ગયો છું. સાથે શાળાના પ્રિન્સિપાલ તરીકે મારી શાળામાં એવું નક્કી કર્યું છે કે જે પણ શિક્ષકને કોઈ બાળકની ફરિયાદ કરવી હોય તો સૌથી પહેલાં તે બાળકના સારા ગુણ લખીને લાવે; પછી જ તેમની ફરિયાદ સાંભળવામાં આવશે. આ હું ઓએસિસ દ્વારા જ શીખ્યો છું.”

"પ્રતિકના ભુજ ગયા પછી હું અને મારી બે દીકરીઓ, અમે ત્રણે જ ઘર ચલાવ્યું છે. મારી બંને દીકરીઓ મારા માટે અરીસા સમાન છે. હંમેશાં મારી ભૂલો અને ખામીઓ મને બતાવે છે. આ ક્ષણે મને ઘણી ખુશી પણ થાય છે કે હું કંઈક ખોટું કરવામાંથી બચી જાઉં છું. તો આ બાબત મારા માટે ગર્વ લેવા જેવી છે કે મને કોઈ ટોકવા માટે છે.”

"आज का जमाना इतना इन्टलेक्चुअल है की उसके दबाव मे आकर मेरा दिल जेसे बक्से  में बंध हो चूका था। मैं इतनी परेशान हो गई थी की मैंने फिर कॉलेज से ड्रॉप आउट लिया। उसके बाद एक महिना यहाँ आके रही, उस दौरान फ़ॅसिलिटेटर बनने का मौका मिला, बच्चोने मुझे इतना एक्स्टेंड किया की चार दिन के आखिर में बच्चें आके पूछते है की दीदी आपको गुस्सा नहीं आता? गुस्से की जो मेरी सब से बड़ी प्रॉब्लेम थी वो कम हुई। जब दिल सच मे बाहर आता है तब बड़ी प्रॉब्लेम भी छोटी हो जाती है। एक प्रॉमिस अपने आप को देना चाहती हु की जो भी करुँगी वो दिल के बिना नहीं करुँगी।"

"પહેલાં મારી આદત બહુ ખરાબ હતી કે કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિની ખરાબ બાજુ મને તરત દેખાય; હું સારી બાબત જોઈ જ ના શકું પણ L3ની કાર્યશાળામાં શીખ્યો કે ધૂળમાં સોનું જોવું આ સિદ્ધાંતને આધારે હું સમજી શક્યો કે લોકોમાં રહેલી સારી બાબતો જોવી કારણ કે ખરાબ બાજુ જોવાથી કંઈ પ્રાપ્ત થતું નથી. આ રીતે જીવનલક્ષી બાબતો આત્મજાદીદી પાસેથી શીખવાની મને ખૂબ મજા આવે. સાથે મારા ગોલ પૂરા કરવામાં જ્યાં પણ અટકી જાઉં છું ત્યાં આ મિત્રો મને ખૂબ સપૉર્ટ કરે છે જેનાંથી મને વિશ્વાસ મળે છે કે 'હા, હું પણ કરી શકું છું.'"

"ओएसिस पब्लिकेशन 1998 से शुरू हुआ। पीछले थोडे सालों से मास प्रॉपगेशन की शुरुआत हुई है क्यूंकि हमे लगता है की किताबो के माध्यम से हम ज्यादा लोगो तक पहुँच पाते है। सच कहूँ तो मैंने 101 किताबे है वो सब पढ़ी नहीं है पर लेखक किताब के माध्यम से क्या कहना चाहते है, किताब किस तक पहुँचाना चाहते है वो सब में जान लेती हूँ। उसी के हिसाब से किताबें प्रिन्ट होती है और लोगो तक पहुँचती है। शुरुआत में दो-तीन-पाँच हजार तक ही किताबें छपती थी पर समय के साथ हमारी टीम का विश्वास बढ़ा है और अब हम हजारो-लाखो में किताबें छपवाते है। इस काम की झलक आप हाकल और एक्झाम की ऐसी की तैसी के रूप मे देख सकते है।"
