A Unique Camp On Patriotism For Children & Youths “भारत का रहनेवाला हूँ...” |

A brief Report: |

|
To celebrate India’s 65th year of Independence, Oasis organized a unique camp on Patriotism during 9th to 12th August at Oasis Valleys. The eye catching thing about the camp was that starting from conceiving the idea of organizing such camp, registering the participants, doing research on the problems of our country and their solutions, creative ideas to sensitize the participants towards accepting responsibility of problems of our country to actually do the camp as planned - was all done by students between the age group of 10 to 17 years with the help & guidance of Oasis Team. |
These are the students/youths who have participated in Oasis Leadership Camps, earlier. Coincidently, 65 students participated in the camp. They discussed burning issues/problems of our country, their solutions and most importantly, their responsibilities as citizens of India to solve the problems. They demonstrated various plaguing problems by enacting a drama, by poem, by song & dance, by slogans or by writing and making a heart touching speech. In the process the students learnt many pride giving things of our country and also about pathetic situations of our nation. |
They were literary shocked when they learnt that every half an hour one farmer commits suicide in our country of rich farming heritage Or 5000 children die every day due to poverty & malnourishment in India. They cried together on such issues and laughed together on greatness of our country. On 11th August the children took out a rally in the nearby village – Chanod, and with slogans and street plays tried to sensitize the villagers. In the end, they decided the next meeting to plan some concrete actions.

મારી એવી ઇચ્છા છે કે હું મારા દેશને આ બધી સમસ્યામાંથી બહાર કાઢું “હું અહીં એવું શીખી કે આપણને આપણા દેશના નાગરિક હોવા માટે ગર્વ હોવો જોઈએ પરંતુ આપણો દેશ આઝાદીનાં ૬૫ વર્ષ પછી પણ અંધશ્રદ્ધા અને અંધવિશ્વાસમાં ડૂબેલો છે. નાગરિક હોવા બદલ આપણે આપણા દેશને જાગ્રત કરવો એ આપણી ફરજ છે. અહીં આવ્યા બાદ મારી એવી ઇચ્છા છે કે હું મારા દેશને આ બધી સમસ્યામાંથી બહાર કાઢું.” ~ તુશી પટેલ
એક એવો જુસ્સો છે કે આ દેશ માટે કંઈક તો કરવું જ છે “આ કૅમ્પમાં દેશની સમસ્યાઓ વિશેની ઊંડી જાણકારી મેળવી. તેનાથી તે સમસ્યાઓ પ્રત્યે વધુ સભાનતા આવી. દેશ માટે આપણે શું કરી શકવા સક્ષમ છીએ તેની જાણકારી મળી. કૅમ્પ દરમ્યાન અનુભવ થયો કે વ્યક્તિની દેશભક્તિ કેટલી ઉગ્ર હોઈ શકે અને અહીંથી જાઉં છું ત્યારે એક એવો જુસ્સો છે કે આ દેશ માટે કંઈક તો કરવું જ છે. આપણું કામ નાનું હોય કે મોટું, પણ Give your Best આ કૅમ્પમાં શીખી.” ~ સુકૃતિ શાહ
મારી અંદરના માનવીને જગાડવા બદલ Thank you, Oasis “આ કૅમ્પમાં સૌથી પહેલા દેશની સમસ્યાઓનો સામનો કરવા માટેની તાકાત મળી અને તેને કારણે અમે એકબીજાને જાગૃત કરી શક્યા. જો બધા મિત્રો સાથે મળીને સમસ્યાઓ ઉપર અવાજ ઉઠાવે તો આ દેશ પણ પૂર્ણ આઝાદ થઈ જાય. આ કૅમ્પથી પ્રેરિત થઈને હું પોતાની સંસ્થા સ્થાપીશ જેમાં બધી સમસ્યાઓનું નિરાકરણ જરૂર નીકળશે અને આ સમસ્યાઓ ભારતમાંથી જરૂર દૂર થશે એવી મને આશા છે. મારી અંદરના માનવીને જગાડવા બદલ Thank you, Oasis.” ~ કુશ દેસાઈ |
જો હું આ કૅમ્પમાં ન આવ્યો હોત તો ઘણું miss કરત “જો હું આ કૅમ્પમાં ન આવ્યો હોત તો ઘણું miss કરત. આ કૅમ્પમાં આવીને મારામાં દેશ પ્રત્યેની લાગણી વધી છે અને તેથી હું આગળ જઈને મારા દેશ માટે મારાથી થાય તેટલું કરવા પ્રયત્ન કરીશ. હું હવે મારી સામે થતાં ખરાબ કામને રોકીશ અને પોતે તો નહીં જ કરું. આ કૅમ્પથી મને એવું શીખવા મળ્યું છે કે જો વાત શાંત મગજે અને સારી રીતે કહેવામાં આવે તો કામ ઘણી સરળતાથી પૂરું થાય છે.” ~ ઋષભ શાહ
મારા દેશ માટે મારા દિલથી કંઈક કરવા માંગું છું “અહીં અમે જે શીખ્યા તેના પરથી મને થયું કે જો હું આવા કૅમ્પ attend કરીશ તો જરૂર મારાથી મારા દેશ માટે કંઈક થશે. હું ઇચ્છું છું કે મારા દેશમાં સ્ત્રી પર થતો અત્યાચાર નાબૂદ થાય, પ્લાસ્ટિક બેગનો ઉપયોગ ઘટે અને એ માટે હું મારા દિલથી કંઈક કરવા માંગું છું અને હું કંઈક તો જરૂર કરીશ. કારણ કે જો આપણા દેશમાં આવું જ બધું ચાલ્યા કરશે તો આપણો દેશ આઝાદ થઈને પણ ગુલામ બની જશે.” ~ ભૂમિ નાયક
એક જ દિવસમાં કેટલા લોકો - કેટલી સ્ત્રીઓ, કેટલાં બાળકો, કેટલા ખેડૂતો - મરે છે? “(કૅમ્પ દ્વારા) મને જાણવા મળ્યું કે એક જ દિવસમાં કેટલા લોકો - કેટલી સ્ત્રીઓ, કેટલાં બાળકો, કેટલા ખેડૂતો - મરે છે. એ બધું જાણીને મારા દિલમાં ધ્રાસકો પડ્યો કે આપણા દેશના આપણા ભાઈબંધો આ જ રીતે મરતા રહ્યા તો શું થશે? આપણે જો રેલી કાઢીને બધાને જાગૃત કરીએ તો બધાને પણ જાણવા મળે કે આપણે કેવી જિંદગી જીવી રહ્યા છીએ.” ~ અભિ |
આ એક જિંદગીને બદલી નાખનારો experience હતો “અમને ૭૬ મિત્રોને ૮ ગ્રૂપમાં વિભાજિત કરીને દેશને લગતા અને સમાજને લગતા ગંભીર મુદ્દાઓ પર ડ્રામા, poem, સૂત્રો વગેરે અમે જાતે રચીને પોતાના દેશ માટેની દેશભક્તિને વ્યક્ત કરવા માટેનો એક નાનકડો પ્રયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો. આ એક જિંદગીને બદલી નાખનારો experience હતો. હું દિલથી ઇચ્છા રાખું છું કે હું ફરીથી OASISના વિવિધ કૅમ્પોમાં આવી શકું અને નવાનવા experience કરતો રહું.” ~ જય સોલંકી
હું આખી દુનિયાને બદલી શકું તો કેવું સારું? “આ દેશપ્રેમના કૅમ્પમાં એવું જાણવા મળ્યું, એવો અહેસાસ થયો કે જે અમારી આંખો સામે હોવા છતાં અમે જોઈ શકતા નહોતા, અનુભવી શકતા નહોતા, અહેસાસ કરી શકતા નહોતા. અત્યારે આઝાદીનાં ૬૫ વર્ષે પણ આપણે કેટકેટલી સમસ્યાઓના ગુલામ છીએ. ઘણી વખત વિચાર આવે છે, દિલ અંદરથી ઢંઢોળે છે કે કેમ આવું? હું આખી દુનિયાને બદલી શકું તો કેવું સારું?” ~ હસ્મિતા પરમાર
ભારતમાં ચાલતાં સામાજિક દૂષણો વિશે ઊંડાણમાં જાણવા મળ્યું “આ કૅમ્પમાં મને ભારતમાં ચાલતાં સામાજિક દૂષણો વિશે ઊંડાણમાં જાણવા મળ્યું અને સ્ત્રી અત્યાચાર વિશે ઘણું બધું જાણવા મળ્યું. હું આટલા દિવસમાં જે કાંઈ શીખી છું તેનાથી હું સ્ત્રી અત્યાચાર રોકવા પ્રયત્ન કરીશ. અને બીજા સામાજિક દૂષણો પણ દૂર કરવા પ્રયત્ન કરીશ અને બધાને જાગૃત કરીશ.” ~ રીન્કુ મેકવાન
દેશની સમસ્યાઓનાં ઉકેલ અંગે હું મારાથી બને તેટલી કોશિશ કરીશ “આપણા દેશની સમસ્યાઓનાં ઉકેલ અંગે હું મારાથી બને તેટલી કોશિશ કરીશ, વધારે લોકોને ભેગા કરવાની કોશિશ કરીશ અને શાળામાં જઈ આ વાત બધાને કહીશ.” ~ માલવી પરમાર
