Patriotism Camp Organized On Women Empowerment At Oasis Valleys

As part of Oasis Leadership Education program, Patriotism Camp was organized during 17th April to 21st April 2013, at Oasis Valleys. 50 students from various cities of Gujarat took part in the camp. The theme of the camp was Women Empowerment. At the end of the 5 day camp, on 21st April, the participants took out a rally in Vadodara city.

“શિબિરમાં અમને સ્ત્રીઓ પરના અત્યાચારોના અનુભવો પૂછતા હતા...
ત્યારનું લાગણીસભર વાતાવરણ સ્પર્શી ગયું, મને અન્યાય પ્રત્યે અવાજ ઉઠાવવાની હિંમત મળી”

Crux of reflections by students:

કૅમ્પ દરમ્યાન પ્રોત્સાહન, નવા વિચારો, ધ્યેય, લક્ષ્ય અને આત્મવિશ્વાસની બાબત મળી

મને જુદી જુદી રમતોમાંથી મળતા message ખૂબ જ પ્રભાવશાળી હોય છે તે મને ગમ્યા. અને શિબિરમાં શીખવેલી ધ્યેય, આત્મવિશ્વાસ વગેરે બાબતો ઉપયોગી બની.

દેશમાં ખેડૂતોની પરિસ્થિતિ તથા Education વિશે ખૂબ જાણવા મળ્યું

શિબિરમાં જ્યારે અમે બધાને ઘેર ગયા તે ખૂબ ગમ્યું. એમાં અમને દેશમાં ખેડૂતોની પરિસ્થિતિ તથા Education વિશે ખૂબ જાણવા મળ્યું. આ શિબિરમાં શીખેલી ઘણી બધી બાબતો આગળ વધવા ઉપયોગી થશે.

શિબિરમાં સ્ત્રીઓ પર થતા અત્યાચાર વિશે અનુભવો શેર કર્યા તે બાબત સ્પર્શી ગઈ

શિબિરમાં શીખેલી બધી જ બાબતો જીવનમાં ઉપયોગી થાય એવી છે પછી તે સફળતા મેળવાની વાત હોય કે સંબંધો સાચવવાની હોય. માનવીના દૃષ્ટિકોણ વિશે પ્રથમવાર જાણ્યું. સાક્ષાત્ સ્વર્ગનો અનુભવ થાય છે.

મને પૂર્વગ્રહો વિશે જાણવા મળ્યું, આત્મવિશ્વાસ વધ્યો, લીડરશિપનો ગુણ પણ વધ્યો.

સ્ત્રીઓ પરના અત્યાચાર પર રોક મૂકવી. મારી કોઈ છોકરી થશે તો હું હંમેશાં તેને સપૉર્ટ કરીશ.

~ નેહલ પરમાર

શિબિરમાં મને તો જે રીતે ગામડાના લોકોના જીવનને જાણવા મળ્યું તે મારા હૃદયને ઘણું સ્પર્શી ગયું

હંમેશાં બીજા સાથે સારો વ્યવહાર કરવો. Self confidence અને Positive thinking વિશે ઘણું બધું જાણવા મળ્યું. જીવન કઈ રીતે જીવવું એ પણ જાણવા મળ્યું.

સૌની સાથે હળીમળીને કાર્ય કરવાની બાબત સ્પર્શી ગઈ

આ અનુભવ ઘણો સારો રહ્યો. અમને ઘણી બધી નવી બાબતો શીખવા મળી. અમને સૌની સાથે હળીમળીને કાર્ય કરવાની બાબત સ્પર્શી ગઈ. આ બધી બાબતો અમને ઘણી રીતે ઉપયોગી થશે. જેવા કે બીજાને મદદ કરવામાં.

The rally was taken out on 21st April from Mahatma Gandhi Nagargruh to Railway Station in Vadodara city. With street plays at four various places, slogans and playcards, students tried to create awareness about the condition of Indian Women in our society.

Oasis Life Camp At Samarth Vidya Mandir– Helpers Of The Handicapped,

3 Day Oasis Life camp was held for 6th – 8th standard students from 23rd to 25th April, 2013 at Samarth Vidya Mandir School – Helpers of the Handicapped, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The camp was facilitated by Mayuri Gohil (Oasis) and Hiral Patel (Oasis). Camp included kids from different social background including socially disadvantaged community (Fase Paradhi) and physically challenged students from the HOH hostel studying in this school. Camp was divided into two groups – Noor (40 students from 6th Standard) facilitated by Mayuri Gohil and Naunihaal (45 students from 7th and 8th standard) facilitated by Hiral Patel.

Crux of reflections by students of Noor Group (translated from marathi language):

We learnt so many new things, our self–confidence increased

The activities I liked the most are the ones where we wrote 10 statements for ourselves for building our self–confidence and the newspaper article in which we wrote an article about our achievements, what we have done (in future). I liked all these activities because our madam took these activities nicely and we learnt so many new things due to which our self–confidence increased.

I liked all stories. From them I learnt that even if anyone says anything to us, we should keep our self–confidence. I also liked 2 debates very much.

I learnt how to create and plan your own future

In these three day camp, I learnt how to create and plan your own future. If every student keeps humanity as their mission then that will surely happen. This is what I learnt from this camp. Because of this we will all become great (Mahan).

In these 3 days of Life camp, I liked all activities so much because Mayuri Didi taught us so well that it will remain in our lives forever. That’s why I liked all activities very much and my most favourite of all is the 5 components of success activity. Thank you Mayuri didi.

In these three days camp I learnt how to introduce myself in a different way, how to write positive statements about myself and 5 components required to become successful. For being successful, we need to follow some principles and that’s why principles are very important in our lives.

मुझे 5 components of success activity सब से अच्छी लगी

हमारे drama का subject hard work and dream था. इस Subject पर हमने drama कर के यह सन्देश दिया कि अपने जीवन में success पाने के लिए dream और hard work करना कितना महत्वपूर्ण है I सब से पहले dream चाहये, क्योंकि dream नहीं तो आशा नहीं, आशाये नहीं तो hard work नहीं इसलिए dream और hard work का महत्व बहुत है I

हर ऐक activity में हमे मजा आया और यह सब activities हमारे लिये बहुत मायने रखती है I क्योंकि इन सब activities से हमे ज्ञान मिला I और उन सब का उपयोग हम हमारे भविष्य मे करेंगे I यह activities करते समय हमे बिलकुल आलस नहि आया और सब activities हमने खुशी से की I

I am absolutely speechless. The kids of Samarth Vidya Mandir are outstanding. Love just pours out of their hearts! They are so warm and welcoming and eager to learn new things in life. I had one of the best times of my life there. Kids come from different social backgrounds, some are physically challenged but

they all gel together so well that you also become part of them. I have learnt so many things from them. The care for each other, unconditional love and innocence filled my heart with joy and eyes with tears. This was truly a memorable experience. Truly Inspiring!
