A.S. Neill is no more with us, however his legacy of Democracy inEducation has been nourishing the children and educators across the world for last 100 years.
Let us learn about his life story as also his philosophy through his successors who are the proud torch bearers of Summerhill school today.
Zoe Neill Readhead - A.S. Neill's daughter, was born at Summerhill and has remained passionately involved throughout her life.
Currently she is the school principal; and she lives and breathes this philosophy of child-rearing.
Henry Readhead is grandson of A.S. Neill. He grew up in Summerhill and is theGlobal Ambassador of Summerhill, sharing the philosophy across the world.
In this period of pandemic, when people are scared for their lives, Oasis aims to spread the movement of Covid-19 awareness to prevent fatalities due to lack of scientific knowledge and panic.
After more than a year of Covid-19, the world now has substantial knowledge about this virus - how it works and how we can prevent it. Unfortunately, hardly a fraction of knowledge reaches the common man.
The conclusion is crystal clear - nothing would work against this virus if our immunity is weak as it's been proven that immunity is the best and perhaps the only weapon we humans have.
Thus, Covid-19 is largely curable if we are alert and take right steps at the right time with calmness and care.
We held the first 'Covid Awareness Workshop' for 55 participants at Oasis valleys on 30th-31st May 2021.
So as to promote the culture of 'Pay it Forward', the above beneficiaries are going to spread the knowledge of this book as also will be gifting the book to other people.
