Oasis Kashmir Life Camp Festival: Joyful smiles on faces of students at the end of Life Camps
Vision:
15 + 15 Camps ~ 50 New Facilitators ~ 30 Schools
The Planning of Oasis Kashmir Festival 2022 began almost 3 months prior to the landing of Oasis Central Team in Kashmir. The main objective of this festival was to prepare teachers of Kashmir schools as Life Education Facilitators, who can independently run Oasis programs and reach maximum youths and teenagers of Kashmir in coming times.
Upon invitation, the Head of Institutes (H.o.I.s) nominated 45-50 teachers from Govt. and Public schools from 7-8 districts. Online training was scheduled from the last week of April.
The vision was to demonstrate 15 Life Camps in the first part of the Life Camp Festival to the newly trained local facilitators. And the same teacher to facilitate 15 Camps in the second part under the guidance of Oasis Central Team Members. Thus, the first-hand experience of taking Oasis Life Camps would give the trainee facilitators much-needed confidence.
Preparations:
Online Training, 28 April to 6 May ~ 30 Teachers Engaged
The lead trainers of Oasis Central Team initiated online training starting on 28th April. Over a week's time, till 6th May, 30 teachers were engaged in 1-2 hrs. online training sessions. Teams were created for each camp.
Offline Training, 10-11 May ~ 42 Teachers Trained
