New Waves In Kashmir: Oasis Young Team Leads

From 11-13 July 2025, the Demo Life Camp was conducted with 19 girls by Dilbir Singh (Teacher, Kothibagh School) at Srinagar, Kashmir.

In continuation, from 14-16 July 2025, Life Camp Facilitator Development Training Program with 19 girls was conducted by Aatmaja Soni, Avadhi Shah & Dinkal Gayakwad (Oasis Young Trustees) at Srinagar, Kashmir.

From 17-19 July 2025, a total of 10 Life Camps took place, facilitated by 18 newly trained Kashmiri Girl Leaders in Kashmir.

Alongside these, from 20-21 July 2025, 10 girls were part of the first workshop of the advanced-level Oasis Living-Loving-Learning Course, facilitated by Aatmaja Soni, Avadhi Shah & Dinkal Gayakwad.

The Oasis Saamarthya (Girl Empowerment Program) Oath and Oasis 'Failure Ki Aisi Ki Taisi' Campaign Training Program to prevent suicides by students was also organised.
From Silence To Strength: The Journey Of Saika
Breaking Doubt Into Self-Power: Huda
Once told “girls can only do a little”, I believed it-until Oasis showed me otherwise. A girl who never stepped out of her home travelled to Gujarat alone for 11 days and returned transformed.

Oasis gave me self-worth, patience and power. My anger became calm. My doubt turned into determination.
Today, I say, “There’s nothing I can’t do.” Even my father says, “My daughter can do what sons can’t.” Now, I live to empower girls like I once was - silenced. Thank you, Oasis. I found myself in you. Forever.
Breaking Chains, Building Life: Nurain
Since childhood, I knew I was meant for something bold, but society’s rulebook trapped me. Science stream. Pressure. Suicidal thoughts. Until Oasis. It lit a fire under my silent promise: Even if no one acts, I will.

Oasis taught me to begin within. From planning a suicide prevention project, to leading my first ever camp - those last seven minutes of that camp will stay with me forever.
I’m no longer living someone else’s dream. I’m living mine. And I finally feel proud, free and home.
Becoming Who I Always Was: Saba
In 2023, I joined Oasis Life Camp in Gujarat - not seeking answers, just needing to breathe. I looked confident, but deep down, I doubted myself.

Oasis didn’t give me strength. It uncovered it. It helped me silence the voice that said, “You’re not enough.” Today, I don’t just speak - I inspire. From participant to facilitator, I now pass the spark forward.
Oasis didn’t change who I was. It revealed who I’ve always been. To every girl wondering if she’s enough - yes, you are.
From Invisible To Unstoppable: Mehreen
In 2024, I entered Oasis unsure and unseen, too afraid to speak, doubting my worth. But something in me refused to give up.

By 2025, I stood tall - not just speaking, but leading. From participant to facilitator, I became the version of myself I once prayed for. Now, I guide girls who feel like I once did - invisible.
And I whisper to them: You can rise too. Oasis gave me more than confidence. It gave me power, healing and me.
The Day My Voice Rose: Mantasha
Years ago, I had ideas, but no voice. I watched others present my thoughts while I sat in silence, doubting myself. But in 2024, everything changed.

On my birthday, I stood before 40 girls as a facilitator and spoke without fear. They didn’t want a break. They didn’t want to miss me. Later, one said, “We want the confidence that Mantasha Didi has.”
That’s when I knew - I’d become the girl I once needed. Not perfect. Just brave.
Thank you, Oasis. You helped me find my voice.
 More Than I Believed: Aiman
Before Oasis, I doubted my worth and overlooked my own strengths. But those few camp days changed everything. I discovered confidence, clarity and the leader hidden within me. I learned to speak up, stay calm and take charge with purpose.

Oasis didn’t just train me. It transformed me. Today, I manage time better, think positively and lead with belief.
I now know: I am capable of far more than I ever imagined. To anyone hesitating, join Oasis. It might just change your life like it changed mine.
Dreaming Beyond Limits: Nargis
At 16, I was undisciplined, shy and unsure of my future. An invitation to OASIS changed everything.

Traveling from Kashmir to Gujarat for a Friendship Camp opened my world and sparked my dream of becoming an architect, proving that gender doesn’t limit ambition. OASIS taught me punctuality, teamwork, leadership and the power of leading by example.
The quote “The heart of education is the education of the heart” guides me daily.
To every girl: step out, dream big and be fearless. If I could transform, so can you.
