The International Democratic Education Conference is a coming together of individuals and organisations of educators, parents and young people interested in finding and creating paths of learning in line with children’s own natural ways of living and learning.
Since 1993, when the first IDEC was planned by representatives from just four schools in different countries, the number of democratic schools all round the world has grown rapidly. IDECs have been held every year on a different continent, and each conference is attended by hundreds of people from thirty or more different countries.
IDEC 2023
IDEC 2023 is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, hosted by Sri Aurobindo Yoga Mandir from 15-20th October 2023.
Oasis Movement @ IDEC 2023
Sanjiv Shah & Sheeba Nair (Founder Members, Oasis Movement) are invited as Keynote Speakers for the conference.
A team of 18 other senior members & youngsters from Oasis are also joining this event as a collective learning experience to represent and share Oasis Education with the International Community.
