MoU with School Education Dept, J&K Govt Creates A Model Pilot Empowered Local Team Leads the Torch Ahead!
Project Facilitators & Mentor
As part of Public Private Partnership (PPP) with SED, J&K, in 2023 Oasis Senior team designed a cascading flow of ToT (Training of Trainers) programs to empower the local team as facilitators and through them to reach Character-Building Edcuation for the young students of J & K.
The Emerging Regional Facilitators
In Jan 2023, selected alumni of Oasis Jyotirdhar, J&K (2017-18) batch underwent intensive ToT training at Oasis Valleys, Gujarat.
At Jammu, the local team of 6 new facilitators got first hand experience of Jyotirdhar Workshop facilitation under the guidance from Lead facilitators."As a facilitator, I see this workshop indespensable for all HOIs, and Teachers as well. Most of HOIs in the workshop shared their valuable experiences related to topics which enriched us as facilitators. Looking forward to more such programs in Jammu."

At Kashmir, the experienced team of local facilitators reinitiated their journey as Jyotirdhar Facilitators with workshops for Principals and Teachers of Govt Schools.
Support Team of Facilitators
National coordinators of Oasis Movement also become part of Facilitator Team for Jammu & Kashmir as enablers to support the project .
Pilot in New Regions: Jammu district was chosen for the pilot program in Jammu Division whereas in Kashmir Division it was launched in the new district of Budgam alongside Kupwara and Srinagar districts.
Stage 1: Jyotirdhar Workshops Sensitize School Principals
Jammu Division:May-June 2023
In line with MoU, 60 HOIs and Sr Teachers from Jammu dist. schools were selected by School Education Dept., Jammu Division for the Pilot Phase.
Lead Facilitators Mehul Panchal and Pallavi Raulji (Founder Trustees) conducted Jyotirdhar workshops for first two batches comprising of 27 HOIs & Sr Teachers of Jammu District. The team of 6 trained facilitators from Jammu joined as Co facilitators as part of their ToT process.
Subsequently, this enthused team of 6 Jammu trainee facilitators conducted their first Jyotirdhar workshop for next batches of HOIs and Principals from Jammu Dist. Bhanubhai Panchal, Oasis Jyotirdhar Coordinator for Govt of Gujarat, joined them as supporting facilitator.
Total 55 HOIs & Sr Teachers from more than 50 Schools experienced Oasis Self-leadership workshop in this Phase 1.
Kashmir Division: Feb - July-Aug 2023

Romana Qazi (photo top left), then CEO-Budgam, Education Dept, JK, took initiative to nominate 25 School HOIs and Principals of Budgam Dist. for Jyotirdhar workshop in Aug'23. Tina Vasudeva and Sanjiv Vasudeva from Delhi facilitated this ToT workshop for the regional team.
Stage 2: Preparing Teachers as Life Camp Facilitators
Jammu Division:Aug-Sept 2023
As per the design of cascading program, HOIs & Principals who were sensitised as Jyotirdhars (to lead character education around them) nominated a collective of 50 eligible Teachers & Masters from all their schools to undergo Oasis Self Leadership program.
The 6 newly trained Jammu facilitators took Jyotirdhar workshop for these teachers in Aug'23.
It was followed by one-day Oasis Life Camp Facilitators Training for these 50 odd teachers, from which, around 25 teachers wereselected as trainees for Jammu Life Camp Festival.
Team of 6 Life Camp volunteers (Photo left bottom) -Rupal Shah, Mital Patel, Shweta Patel and Hardi Parmar (from Gujarat)and Pooja Nagar and Tina Vasudeva (from Delhi)- joined in and conducted 4 Demo Life Camps for school students as part of the ToT for Jammu Life Camp trainees.
Kashmir Division:Aug-Nov 2023
Seen above, Follow-up Session of Budgam HOIs & Principals being conducted by Mir Gulzar & Manzoor Ahmad. In this session, 60 Teachers & Masters were nominated as trainee facilitators for Kashmir Life Camp Festival.

Stage 3: Celebrating Life Camp Festivals
Jammu Division:Sept-Oct 2023
Jammu Life Camp Festival was celebrated in 15 Schools, where 18 Life Camps conducted by new trainee teachers. In total, 539 Studentsbenefitted during the months of Sept-Oct'23.
Kashmir Division:Nov-Dec 2023
In Nov-Dec'23, Life Camp Festival was celebrated in some 20 Schools of Budgam Dist where more than 20 Life Camps were conducted by New Trainee Teachers and around 500 Students benefitted.
Oasis Life Camp ToT Project and the cascading student programs were guided by Mehul Panchal at Jammu and Pallavi Raulji at Kashmir.
Stage 4:
Nurturing & Empowering Leadership in Girls: Saamarthya Special DreamIndiaCamp
85 girls were primarily selected from the participants of Life Camps conducted at Govt schools at Jammu and Budgam along with Srinagar, Kupwara districts.
These Girls and their 12 Teachers travelled to Gujarat in the 2nd week of Dec'23 for the 8-days Girls Special SaamarthyaDream India Camp(aka Friendship Camp).
