Body is first disciple of Soul
If You Don’t Mind, It Doesn’t Matte
Program for Students
When we mention the word ‘Military’, the image of soldiers comes to our mind. Soldiers are an emblem of obedience, discipline, will power, courage and such virtues. That’s the very idea behind ‘Military Training’ program by Oasis. While Oasis believes in freedom and encourages students’ ability to ask questions, it also believes that at some level, for becoming great leaders, they need to first learn to be great soldiers. Oasis has designed a basic mind-body training for these purposes, with a hope that it will prepare them to be better citizens.
Oasis Military Training is all about making students experience strength of mind and body, to discover what Will Power can do, using Military Training Apparatus. A basic set up for such training is created at Oasis Valleys Campus (at Chanod, Dist. Vadodara, Gujarat). This will be used in multiple ways, either as 15 days fully dedicated camp as well as part of different programs. This will be mandatory for all youths who join Oasis to be a leader to serve society. In the course, tough daily routine not only challenges physique but mind too and in turn they are strengthened.
If you don't mind,
it does not matter.

Reflections from the young participants and facilitators
“Military Training was treasure of learning! You never succumb nor get tired, not for once. For any task or activity, ‘Yes, Sir’ will be answer. I worked very hard like commando. And, I won ‘Best Commando Boy’ award.”
“15 days of Military training were very important for me. I was not only physically but mentally trained. How to control mind, never complain and still be happy – I learnt all these. Now, I can’t sit and pass time, as I have learnt to control my mood and understood my energy.”
“If I would not have taken this training, I would never have overcome my fears. My willpower has increased and I have become more positive. Now, the remote control of my life is in my hand.”
“Whether we are not well or have taken less sleep, but we had to wake up at 4 am. Many times I lost my patience but ultimately I have overcome it and that is my biggest success. In this camp, I learnt to break my limitations and increased my endurance level.”
“Laziness and sluggishness won’t get you anywhere; being strong with self gives power. Military Training teaches responsibility and respect.”
“I felt that I have extended at many of my habits. For example, keep doing exercise even your body is not supporting. This is Military Training.”
“In this training, I realized that power lies in mind and soul. My ego shattered and I could see my weaknesses. Now, I will be the Commando Trainer of my life and mission."
The first virtue in a soldier is the
endurance of fatigue; courage is only
the second virtue.
